Our curriculum is crafted to engage, inspire, and challenge students, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to explore, experiment, and create their own masterpieces.
Art at Falmouth embraces a practical and contextual skills-based approach, designed to foster personalization of students' experiences. We encourage students to express their creativity and individuality with confidence, shaping their artistic journey from the outset. Starting in Year 7, students embark on a journey of core technical skills in the visual elements, responding to the world around them. This forms a robust foundation that informs future learning, allowing for the broadening of skills and a deepening understanding of art.
As students progress to Year 9, they have the opportunity to follow specific routes in art, graphic communication, or photography. Many of our students choose these pathways, creating fabulous works of art before seamlessly transitioning to our Sixth Form courses.
