WHAT ARE THE LEVELS OF STUDY AT FALMOUTH SIXTH?

At Falmouth Sixth Form, there are two levels of entry.

Level 2
Level 2 courses are designed for students who did not quite manage to secure 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and Maths.
Full time Level 2 courses are offered at Falmouth Sixth Form.
Students can study these qualifications for 1 or 3 years.
Students studying over 1 year will work to achieve the Level 2 qualification by accessing a vocational course, while retaking GCSE Maths and/or English, at the same time.
Students studying over 3 years will complete the Level 2 course in addition to GCSE retakes. Once complete, they can progress onto the Level 3 full course.

Level 3
Level 3 courses are for students who achieved 5 GCSEs at Grade 5 or above, including Maths and English.
If students wish to complete vocational qualifications, they can take their pick of the courses they wish to study. This could include one vocational course or a selection of A-Levels.
Some courses will require students to have achieved an additional GCSE Grade to support specific subjects. Please see the information provided throughout the prospectus, where this is the case.
