Student Support Manager - Wellbeing and Safeguarding (Temporary)

Salary: Grade H £24,192 - £27,796
37 hours per week, 38 working weeks

We are looking to appoint an ambitious temporary Student Support Manager (absence cover) who will engage positively with students, along with key staff, to provide a first response for students in need of support with managing personal difficulties and positively supporting their safeguarding and wellbeing. This is a varied and rewarding role, helping students to learn social and emotional skills, which will have a positive impact on their achievement.

The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8am - 4pm and Friday 8am-3.30pm with a 30 minute unpaid break each day.

Cover Supervisor
Permanent
Salary: Grade H1 £25,302 - H6 £28,433
37 hours per week, 39 working weeks (term time plus 1 additional week) 
Start date: As soon as possible
 
 We are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor at Falmouth School. This role involves the delivery of cover lessons to a number of classes in a communal space, ie library, lecture theatre. The post holder will be crucial in maintaining the continuity of education during the absence of regular member(s) of teaching staff. You will ensure that students are settled and working in a calm and purposeful learning environment in line with the Trust’s vision and will coordinate and quality assure the delivery of cover. The successful candidate must be able to resolve day-to-day problems independently and demonstrate and develop professional practice excellence to meet the changing demands of the role.

You will be joining a school which has been graded as good in all areas by Ofsted in April 2025.

The successful candidate must be totally reliable, demonstrate excellent time keeping and organisational skills, be adept at managing competing priorities and work well under pressure. This role requires the ability to maintain confidentiality. You must be approachable and sensitive to the needs of all students, as well as being a team player who takes an interest in the range of work undertaken by the Trust.
This role may be particularly suited to someone who is interested in a career in education or future teacher
training. The Roseland Academy is a national Teaching School Hub and the role would offer a wide range of
professional development opportunities and training.
