Falmouth School Year 11 Rugby Team
to Compete in England U16 Sevens Finals
Falmouth School proudly announces the participation of its Year 11 boys' rugby team in the esteemed All England U16 Sevens Finals, this March in London. This achievement marks one of the highest sporting milestones for Falmouth School in recent memory.
Scheduled for March 10th at Grasshoppers RFC, the England U16 Sevens Finals will host teams from across the nation in what promises to be an exhilarating competition.
Thirteen Year 11 Falmouth School rugby players will showcase their skills amongst England's finest. Joshua Wright, Ben Clarke, Ben Patterson, Alistair Kennedy, Ewan Bidgood, Malachi O’Neill, Kade Maestrami, Olly Heyes,Ollie Ward, Dylan Fergus, Theodore Davies, Piran Amos and Will Taylor are honoured to represent both the school and the wider Falmouth community in this prestigious tournament.
The Year 11 Falmouth rugby team has also been lucky enough to gain generous sponsorship of a brand-new kit from VX3 to celebrate the occasion.
Team Captain Joshua remarked, ‘We are really excited to go up to London, and to take part in that level of Rugby. The Falmouth School rugby team have been working really hard in training. I’m really looking forward to leading this side of talented players and hope that we can get a win.’
Lead Teacher of PE at Falmouth School, Mrs. L Thirlby expressed pride in the Falmouth School rugby player’s achievements: "We are extremely proud of our rugby players and their success to date. They are really looking forward to being part of a national event and are determined to perform at their best. The entire school is supporting the Year 11 rugby team as they embark on this incredible opportunity."
